For focus.
I've been having a hard time focusing these past few months. I've been really distracted by worldly things and haven't been able to pull all of my passion and my thoughts towards living a life that God would want me to live. If it's not one thing, it's another thing that pulls my attention away from Him. And I don't want to be lukewarm and be spat out on the day of the final judgment. I want to be passionate for seeing my Saviour face to face.
So pray that I would focus on Him, my God.

God Wink ;]
Is it just coincidence that the Lock-in and the Good Friday Service had 3/5 of the same songs in their sets? I think not. :]

The Wonderful Cross
The cross upon which Jesus died for us... I like to view it as the bridge between us and God. His death there was what connected us with Him. But because of the fact that it doesn't look like a bridge, I am afraid of crossing it.
So I need the strength to walk onto the Bridge that connects us to Him. The one and only way to get to know God. Through the recognition of the amazing love that God had for us on that cross.
Pray for me about that.

Tuesday - Wednesday
Tuesday and Wednesday were probably the best days of my entire break. I went to Cho-dae Church for a lock-in and was truly blessed to be there. Cho-dae is a really small, cute church that I went to for summer-school 5 years ago. It hasn't really changed. xD
Even though it seems like there's nothing really special about that church- the stereotypical crosses everywhere, the big sanctuary, the huge crowds of korean people- there was one thing that really got me about that church. It was the fact that all the people were so welcoming. No church i've ever been to had people that were THAT welcoming. The second i walked in everyone just turned around from their pizzas and gave me a happy wave or a cheerful, "Hi! welcome to cho-dae!" It made me really.. happy. after a long night of tissue volleyball and Passion of the Christ, we had a nice time of reflection. Even though i got 30 minutes of sleep that night and was forced to go to early morning prayer at 5.. i would love to go again.. next year. ;P

For clarity
With everything in our lives, sometimes we seem to cloud our minds and cloud our senses of where God is because I guess we don't want to deal with Him 24/7. But that's the opposite of what we should be doing.
I'm going to keep this short, but, just pray for clarity for the world, so that we may be attentive to His voice.
God Wink
This isn't really a prayer request, but I just wanted to share a God wink with you guys. :D
So.. the other day, my grandma found out that I sell candy in school [for profit and stuff]. She was totally flipping out at me, and I really didn't wanna stop. I called my partner in crime when I got to Costco yesterday, and asked him what candy he wanted to buy. He told me that he was just gonna sell off what he had, and quit right afterwards. I was shocked, and decided to do the same thing.
I guess this isn't such a huge God wink, and there are God winks that are soo much more impressive than mine, but it really hit me when this happened. LOL, um.. yeah, i kinda wasted your time when you read this, but YEAHH.... that's what's going on in my break so far.
LOCK-IN TONIGHHTTT!! :D
I LOVE YOU ALL! HAVE A GREAT BREAK!

Diligence
Let's pray for diligence this break. Let's not forget our Lord, but let's keep up our focus. In my opinion, God gave us this break in order to get closer to Him. There are no excuses of, "Ohman, I have to get to school on time," or "Ohman, i have a big test to study for.. [..unless ur studying on april 26.. which is not very smart at all -____-]". But yeah. You have an extra 9.5 hours to do whatever the heck you need to/ want to. Make good use of it, y'all.
AND PRACTICE FOR JESUS DAY COFFEEHOUSE! -_- Or else Bayside Highschool's gonna whoop our butts in presentation.

So this break, I want something to happen. I want a revival to come into my life as well as the lives of all the people on the Earth. What I want is for everyone to really get to know the Lord, really get to have a relationship with Him. Break is supposed to be a time to rest, but not just rest from work. 'Cause God calls us to work for six days of the week. So we still have to work this break. It should be a time to rest to truly get to know God. To get to love Him.

From tiredness.
I need shelter from tiredness. Right now, it's taking so much effort just to stay slightly on top of my workload. I'm wearing myself out, when I shouldn't be. Thank you for your prayers.
~Chris Chong
I haven't posted for a while.. and I guess it's a bad thing. It seems like the less "problems" I have in my life, the less I ask for prayer. The less I ask from God. The less I yearn for a solution. My life is so.. IDK.. dull? Perfect? I dont know what to call it anymore.. I'm so bored with life these days. There's nothing left to do, really..
Please pray that I'm thirsty for the Word.

When my world comes crashing down.
Every now and then there are moments where everything that I've been putting on the roof of my house just breaks through and slams into me. And at those moments, the littlest thing can get me down for hours.
I've been really stressed out, hiding under a mask of joy and gladness. But I really need help right now. There's so much on my plate and the tasks that are on it seem too large for me to be able to conquer. I just need God's strength to get through. And I know He's here, but I need to see Him.
I'm in a desperate time of need right now. Pray for me.

For patience
I normally have a REALLY hard time to be slow to anger. I don't show it, but it's a passive-aggressive type of anger that gets to me and it keeps building up within me. It usually stems from a lack of patience with other people, but so that I don't hurt their feelings, I keep my anger bubbling underneath the surface in my being.
But I know that what I am doing is not good and that I must learn to accept people for who they are, for I am no better nor any worse than any person on this world. For God loves us all, amen?
Pray for me to gain patience in this world.

Early Morning Praise
I've been sleeping after 12 lately, mostly because of my strange working habits. But every night I am forced to rely on the Lord for His grace and power to get me through the night. And because of that I praise Him for that. And I never really realized the importance of praising Him through every situation until recently. And I know for sure that there are people that don't know the power of praising Him in every way, shape, time, and form. God doesn't go by the "guidelines" for He can bend each and every one of them, even if we thought it wasn't possible to.
Early Morning Praise should be important in our lives, worshiping Him for the life that He gave us on this earth and in Him as well.
So pray and praise early in the morning for all of the things that you need and that you know other people need prayer for.
A day of work?
Well today was supposed to be a day of rest according to what was said in the Scriptures. But that's not the case with me. Yesterday was supposed to be another day of work, but instead I didn't work. And that is not good.
I guess I need prayer that I will obey everything that God tells us to do, so that I may truly serve Him and worship Him in what I do.

Amazing Grace
This song is playing right now as I type these words, and it truly is Amazing Grace. How God sent His son to die for us just 'cause He loved us so much. And it's not just "one of those Bible stories that everyone's heard". It's THE message. The message that God wants us to tell others. The message that God wants us to believe. The life changing message.
It's not just something that happened thousands of years ago, but it's something that happened and still is happening. God is still taking our burdens upon His back, carrying our yoke, all because He loves us.
It's hard to see it sometimes, but that's what we all need prayer for.
So pray for the world. Pray for His people, that they may run back to Him and see the truth.

Heart of Worship
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
This is actually one of my absolute favorite Christian songs. I sang it with a fellow seekers member yesterday during lunch, and i feel compelled to share a thought with you guys.
I remember at one of the past praise team bible studies, our drummer and our electric guitarist were missing from practice. The praise team was kinda freaking out, saying things like, "Ohman, what'll we do now?!" or "Maybe we'll make an exception this week, and just let them stand," [since participating in the praise team bible study was required if you were to stand in the upcoming sunday praise]. My teacher shared that we don't need our instruments to praise God. We don't need an electric guitar, we don't need a drum set, we don't need a base. Even if we only had a guitar and ONE vocal, we'd still be a praise team. We'd be doing our job of leading praise.
I think that we, especially those that are participating in Jesus Day Coffeehouse, are becoming extremely prideful. I don't exclude myself from this observation, but I think that we should all pray for humble hearts of WORSHIP. This particular function, as well as our lives as wholes, are for the praising of God. We shouldn't be performing for the glorification of ourselves, but for the glory of God. I think I'm kind of rambling on right now, but I hope I got my point across.
Let's pray for humility.

For another Friend
This person's different from Chris', but this person's walking away from God, as well. She's so distracted by the things of this world- friends, her boyfriend, sports, school. I understand that we ALL have this problem, but not to the extent where we don't want to go to church anymore. Pray that she can walk with God once again.

For a friend.
So I have this friend, who doesn't really go to Seekers anymore, and I've been drifting away from her in our relationship because we don't really see each other anymore. But I still do care about her and want the best for her. And the best for her is God.
She is a Christian, but I feel that recently, she's been slowly walking off the path of God, just like many of us are. She's really busy and really worried about colleges and all that, and I feel that she doesn't take God into account when planning out her day.
So I would ask you all to pray for her. Please do.

Time Management
It's really hard for me to "excel" in both spiritual and educational life, cuz I'm not exceptional in either. Frankly, I think I'm epically failing both. :/ People continuously tell me that "I'm doing fine," or that "I should just try harder," but it's easier said than done. It feels like I've drained my energy source trying to do better in school as well as attend as much church/seekers as I can. Funny thing is, I do badly in school if I go to seekers/ church/ friday meetings. When my grades excel, it's only when I skip out on a meeting or something. IDK, I guess it's more time to study? Or, it's just Satan trying to get me to stop attending church. Of course I would NEVER leave my church, or the Seekers for that matter. I already made that mistake freshman year.
IDK, I don't really want you guys to only pray for me in this matter, cuz I know that there are so many other people who have the exact same problem as me.
Soo.. pray for the lot of us. :]

A long month
The month of March was a really long month for me. I was really tired and grumpy and stressed out much of the month. But that reason was because I wasn't focusing on God's presence in my life, that even though I said that I was a Christian, I wasn't living like one.
The month of April has been an interesting one for me so far. I don't know what's in store completely, but I know that if I rely on God, it'll be a good month. So I just need prayer for that. For God's presence to be in my life, for me to get to know Him better and listen to Him completely when He calls out to me. I've been wanting this for a while now, but haven't expressed it, trying to make it my own matter. But God doesn't say to let my problems be mine and only mine.
So I'm sharing my request with you guys.
Pray for me so that I can look towards God as the sole provider of all the things in my life.

Japan
I know it's been a while since the tsunami/ earthquake in Japan, but I believe the people are still suffering there. Let's pray for a swift recovery in Japan, as well as the Christian population to reach forward and bring more people to Christ.
When people are truly suffering is when Jesus' light shines through the brightest.

Prayer Request + Bringing this back to lifeeeee~ :]
i just want us all to pray for the upcoming Jesus Day/ Coffeehouse. Pray that we'll be able to bring many people to Christ through this event, meanwhile also getting closer to God ourselves.
See y'all at EMP tomorrow ;]
